Support a Child
on their Musical Journey

Become a Sponsor
We are always excited to explore new partnerships!
Whether you represent a Trust or Foundation, business, or a corporation—or perhaps you’re considering leaving a legacy donation—we would love to discuss with you about how we can collaborate. A single £35 donation pays for an entire term (10 weeks) of lessons for one child.
If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, please reach out to Philip Tindley at twangmusicfoundation@gmail.com.
Fundraise Through an Event or Challenge
Have you thought about raising funds for us through a personal challenge or event? In the past, our supporters have done things like hosting music concerts, raffles and even performing a pantomime! Whatever creative fundraising idea you have in mind, we’d love to support you. Get in touch with us at twangmusicfoundation@gmail.com to find out how you can help.

Volunteer with Us
From time to time, we need volunteers to help with our events and workshops, and we’re always eager to have passionate people on board. If you’re interested in donating your time or exploring other ways to contribute, we’d love to hear from you. Drop us an email at twangmusicfoundation@gmail.com and we’ll be in touch soon.

Leaving a Legacy
Music has the power to change lives, and if you believe in this too, we invite you to consider including The Twang Music Foundation in your Will. Your gift can help us continue to provide high-quality music education to children in underserved communities, creating a lasting impact that will reach generations to come.
Every legacy, no matter the size, makes a meaningful difference for young musicians here in South East London.

Ways to Leave a Gift:

Residuary Gift: This is a percentage of your estate after all other gifts and expenses have been accounted for. As this gift is a percentage, its value will naturally keep pace with inflation over time.
Pecuniary Legacy: A fixed cash gift. If you choose this option, you can protect your donation from inflation by linking it to the Consumer or Retail Prices Index. For example, you could include something like:
“I give to The Twang Music Foundation (registered charity number 1202744) the amount found by dividing [AMOUNT] by the consumer prices index figure for the month in which this document is executed, and multiplying the result by the consumer prices index for the month in which I pass away.”

(As always, please consult a legal adviser for guidance.)
Specific Legacy: You may wish to donate a particular item such as jewelry, artwork, or shares. If you choose this option, we may need to sell the asset to put the proceeds toward our work. If you're thinking of leaving a non-monetary legacy, we recommend discussing it with us beforehand.
You can also choose whether to restrict your gift for a particular purpose or leave it unrestricted, which gives us the flexibility to allocate your donation where it's most needed.
Important Information
Gifts to charity are exempt from inheritance tax, and if you’re a UK taxpayer, your charitable legacy will be deducted from your estate before tax is calculated. Additionally, if you leave 10% or more of your net estate to charity, it could reduce the inheritance tax rate for the rest of your estate from 40% to 36%.
While we always advise seeking professional legal advice when making your Will, we’re here to help answer any questions and express our gratitude for your generous support. If you'd like to discuss your plans further, please contact Philip Tindley, Chair at twangmusicfoundation@gmail.com.
